Depart Lake Placid, New York, and enjoy a rolling first-day over the Ausable River and Chasm on your way to Plattsburgh. Ferry across a portion of Lake Champlain to Vermont’s Grand Isle and continue meandering through the foothills of Mount Mansfield, the tallest in Vermont. Climb Smugglers Notch, a narrow mountain pass, and descend into the village of Stowe. In Vermont and New Hampshire, you will discover rich colonial history and visit towns outlined by fieldstone walls. Earlier Cross-State tours conquered the Cascade Range, the Rockies, the Big Horns, and the Adirondacks.
